A new auto repair shop opens for business – PostBulletin.com

A well-known name in tires has fired up a new full-service repair shop in Northwest Rochester.

A second Firestone Complete Auto Care opened its bay doors for business on May 7 at 5579 Villa Road NW in the Chateau Circle development area. That’s just off of 55th Street Northwest.

It is a full-service auto repair center with a team of four full-time employees. Firestone is still looking to hire more.

Bridgestone, Firestone’s owner, now has three locations in Rochester. It also owns two corporate stores – one Firestone Complete Auto Care and one Tires Plus – on the south side of the city.

“We believed a new store on the north side of town where Rochester is experiencing significant growth would benefit the community and our customers,” wrote Leslie Boehms, communications manager of Bridgestone Retail Operations, in response to questions about the project. “. . . We know it’s the third-largest city in the state and that it is a vibrant and growing community.”

Rochester developer Rick Penz built the 6,658-square-foot repair shop. It is near the Compcare urgent clinic. Plans to build a new Popeye’s chicken restaurant nearby are also in the works.
