Augustana and Midco Sports Partner for Behind the Scenes Look at Augustana Hockey – Augustana College Vikings

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana Athletics and Midco Sports have partnered to bring a behind-the-scenes look at adding a men’s hockey program exclusively on Midco MAG. Midco MAG airs Mondays at 6:30 p.m. on Midco Sports.
“We’re excited to be on this journey to launch Augustana hockey and thrilled that Midco will be along for the ride,” Augustana Director of Athletics Josh Morton said. “Nobody tells a story better so this will be a great opportunity to give fans in Sioux Falls and the region an up close look at the building of a program.”
The first episode featuring the Augustana hockey program is slated for Monday, Oct. 18. Part I of the behind-the-scenes look includes interviews from Augustana University President Stephanie Herseth Sandlin and Morton along with the official announcement and groundbreaking of Midco Arena.
“Midco Sports and our award-winning program Midco Sports Magazine have always been dedicated to showcasing the best stories in our region,” David Brown, On-Air Talent for Midco Sports said. “Augustana’s journey into hockey at the Division I level is one of those rare opportunities to see something completely novel, the formation of a program from scratch. We can’t wait to see and show that progress over the next two years!”
Midco MAG is an award-winning original content television show in its 10th year. Midco MAG searches out and shares interesting and unique human-interest sports stories from around the region. Midco MAG’s content can also be seen on Midco Sport’s social media channels and on the app, Midco Sports Plus (which is now on Amazon Fire, Apple TV, and Roku connected devices).
Following each broadcast, the episodes are available to watch on Midco Sports social media channels and can also be found on Midco Sports YouTube.
An announcement will be made on and the GoAugie social media channels prior to each new episode with an anticipated Part II set for May 2022.
