Business Notebook: Food bank receives 11,000 rolls of toilet paper – Abilene Reporter-News

At a ceremony Wednesday, the United Family — which includes United Supermarkets and Market Street stores — presented the Food Bank of West Central Texas with a donation of 11,520 rolls of toilet paper.

The presentation was part of a larger donation of more than 200,000 rolls to food banks around Texas and New Mexico, with a total value of approximately $90,000.

Among the other food banks receiving donations were Give Hope in Abilene and food banks in San Angelo, Wichita Falls and Odessa.

Cade Browning to lead state bar section

Cade Browning, of Browning Law Firm PLLC in Abilene, was recently elected chairman of the State Bar of Texas Litigation Section.

The Litigation Section is a neutral organization representing almost 9,000 lawyers and includes plaintiff attorneys, defense attorneys, judges, mediators and law students.

Browning, whose practice is in personal injury litigation and civil trial work in West Texas, will serve a term through 2022.

Ken Hogan receives executive credential

ASAE, a membership organization of association executives and industry partners, recently announced that Ken Hogan, association executive for the Abilene Association of Realtors, has been awarded the Certified Association Executive credential.

Hogan is now one of 4,600 people worldwide to hold the designation, and one of only five CAE designees working as association executives or CEOs of realtor associations in Texas.

Hogan holds undergraduate and master’s degrees in businesses administration from Tarleton State University, and is a Realtor Association Certified Executive as awarded by the National Association of Realtors.
