Dominium, a Plymouth-based national affordable housing owner, developer and manager, announced that it has hired Chris Lahna as its first-ever senior vice president and chief talent officer, effective Aug. 26.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Hunter Street Partners, a Minneapolis-based alternative investment management firm, announced that Marie Pillai has joined the firm as a senior adviser. Pillai most recently served as General Mills’ vice president, chief investment officer and treasurer before retiring in 2019. …  Roseville-based accounting firm Olsen & Thielen & Co. announced it is celebrating 100 years of service in September.

GOVERNMENT

The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners announced the appointments of Catherine Fair, executive director at Community Action Partnership of Ramsey and Washington counties, and Karen Gerdin, assistant supervisor at St. Paul Public Schools Adult Basic Education, to the Workforce Innovation Board of Ramsey County.

The National Association of Women Business Owners has announced this year’s inductees into the Minnesota Women Business Owners Hall of Fame, to honored Oct. 28 at the Fillmore Event Center in Minneapolis: Ann Bancroft, founder, Ann Bancroft Foundation, St. Paul; Amy Langer, co-founder and owner, Salo, Minneapolis; Nancy Lyons, CEO/president, Clockwork, Minneapolis; Anne Sempowski Ward, CEO and director, Curio Brands, Minneapolis, and Kathy Tunheim, founder and owner, Tunheim, Bloomington.

LAW

Minneapolis-based Fredrikson & Byron announced that tax attorney Masha M. Yevzelman has been awarded the Friend of the Profession Award by the board of directors of the Minnesota Society of CPAs. … The First Judicial District awarded its 11th annual Amicus Curiae Awards to Katie Moras, owner, El Bosque Encantado; James Kretsch Jr., attorney, Kretsch Law Office; Steven Pattee, attorney, Donna Law Firm; Markus Yira, attorney, Hutchinson, Minn., and Lisa Vandelist, arbitrator, American Arbitration Association; the First Judicial District covers the counties of Carver, Dakota, Goodhue, Le Sueur, McLeod, Scott, and Sibley. The Amicus Curiae Award (Friend of the Court) recognizes persons who have provided service, leadership or other contributions to assist the district.

MARKETING

The city of Duluth has hired Minneapolis-based Bellmont Partners to assume marketing and promotional responsibilities for the city, receiving a $1.8 million budget in 2022, with options to continue the relationship over the following two years.

NONPROFITS

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, St. Paul, announced that Alexis Oberdorfer has been named vice president and chief officer of community engagement and partnerships.

ORGANIZATIONS

The U.S. Small Business Administration announced that the Minnesota Technology Association was among 32 grant awards of up to $125,000 each issued nationwide for specialized training, mentoring and technical assistance for research and development-focused small businesses under the Federal and State Technology Partnership Program.

PHILANTHROPY

Old National Bank Foundation, philanthropic arm of Old National Bank, announced quarterly contributions totaling $70,000 to six organizations throughout Old National’s Minnesota market, with some contributions being multi-year commitments. Old National, based in Indiana, is Minnesota’s eighth-largest bank by deposit market share.

RETAIL

Heartland America, a Chaska-based specialty online retailer, announced it has named Kendra Reichenau as chief executive officer. … Target Corp., Minneapolis, announced its board of directors elected David P. Abney, former chairman of the board and chief executive officer of United Parcel Service, and Gail K. Boudreaux, president and chief executive officer of Anthem Inc., as directors. Abney’s appointment was effective last month and Boudreaux’s appointment becomes effective Sept. 23.

TECHNOLOGY

Arcserve, an Eden Prairie-based data and ransomware protection provider for business, announced that Dave Hansen will serve as the company’s interim CEO and manage the transition from current CEO Tom Signorello, who has held the role since 2017.

UTILITIES

Xcel Energy, Minneapolis, announced that the American Clean Power Association said Xcel is the largest clean energy provider in the country for wind, solar and battery storage, in its annual report.
