
Trekk earns recognition for campaign
ROCKFORD — Trekk recently earned recognition for its work on a 2020 content marketing campaign for Rittal North America.
The business-to-business campaign, which targeted production facilities in the food and beverage industry, garnered four recent awards:
The AVA Digital Awards Gold Award (Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals) was earned in the category of digital marketing /content marketing — white paper.
The Silver Muse Creative Award (International Awards Associate) was earned in the category of white paper.
The Hermes Creative Platinum Award (Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals) was earned in the category of communications strategic program — marketing campaigns.
The Communicator Awards (Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts) Award of Distinction — Content Marketing was also earned.
Goldie B. Floberg Center raises support for DSP staff
ROCKTON — The Goldie B. Floberg Center board of directors recently raised individual and corporate support from Schmeling Construction and RSM US Wealth Management to recognize the nonprofit’s direct support professional staff.
Scott Krowczyk, principal of RSM US Wealth Management and president of the Goldie B. Floberg Center board of directors, led a fundraising effort from the board to fund appreciation gifts for Goldie B. Floberg direct support professional staff. Developmental disability providers across the state of Illinois are experiencing severe staffing shortages, driven by low wage rates set by the state for the demanding position.
DSPs providing in-home care are working extended hours and extra shifts to provide 24-hour care for the children and adults served by the center. Goldie B. Floberg directors raised individual donations and secured sponsorship funding from Schmeling Construction and RSM US to donate groceries and necessities to DSPs during this time.
KMK Media produces campaign for Winnebago County rental assistance
ROCKFORD — KMK Media, a marketing communications firm in Rockford, recently was hired by Winnebago County to develop a social media and public relations campaign to generate awareness and applications for the county’s $8.7 million federal grant to help tenants make past-due rent payments.
Over the course of the two-month campaign, the marketing generated more than 3,000 applications and 180,000 impressions on social media.
